Asbestos
For general information about asbestos, call the Kitsap County Health District, Environmental Health Division at 360-337-5235. You can request a “Home Owner’s Asbestos Removal Packet” from the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency at 800-552-3565. For detailed questions, contact Mike Schultz at Clean Air 800-552-3565 extension 4060. Call Olympic View Transfer Station (674-2297) to get their disposal packaging requirements. Testing services are listed in the Yellow Pages under Environmental and Ecological Services. Remember to cover your load when transporting to reduce highway litter. It’s the law!
