Sharps - Medical 

Includes needles, syringes,lancets, and intravenous tubing with needles attached regardless of whether they are contaminated or not.

Sharps cannot be disposed in the garbage.
First, ask your physician if they accept sharps from their patients, if not:
Kitsap Health Districts accepts sharps only in red sharps containers that are available from pharmacies. The other locations listed below accept sharps in sturdy plastic bottles with screw-cap lids or red sharps containers. Do not store sharps in milk jugs, coffee cans or other containers. Do not overfill.

Note: Recycling and garbage facilities are limited to accepting sharps from residential customers only. Businesses should call Stericycle at 800-755-3291.
