Newspaper

Include everything that comes with the newspaper including advertisements.

Newsprint often is remanufactured into newspaper or egg cartons. Recycling a one-foot high stack of newspapers saves 71.3-kilowatt hours of electricity—enough to heat a home for 17 hours. Recycling 1 ton of newspaper saves 3 tons of wood pulp. It saves the equivalent of 23% of the energy required to process a ton of newsprint from new pulp.

Remember to cover your load when transporting to reduce highway litter. It’s the law!
