Yard Waste Amnesty Day at North Mason Fiber Company

Kitsap and Mason County residents may bring yard waste to the Yard Waste Amnesty Day at North Mason Fiber Company on September 30, 2006. There will be no fees charged for this event.

Where: North Mason Fiber Company
            431 NE Log Yard Road, Belfair
            (northeast of the railroad trestle on Highway 3)

When:  Saturday, September 30, 2006,  8 am to 4 pm

Cost:     Free

Businesses, landscapers, or commercial vehicles will be charged at normal rate.

There is no volume restriction for residential customers.

Materials accepted:

• woody debris
• brush
• grass
• stumps and branches
• lumber (not painted or treated)

Material NOT accepted:

• creosote treated lumber
• railroad ties
• garbage, plastics
• tires
• scrap metal
• household hazardous waste

ü Remember to cover and secure your load

ü Drop-box facilities will not accept yard waste for free

This program is part of an ongoing effort by Kitsap County Public Works to provide recycling alternatives to outdoor burning. The public may recycle their yard waste at North Mason Fiber Company year round seven days a week. Call 360-275-0228 for hours and fees.
