FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The holidays will cause several changes to garbage pick-up schedules, drop-off recycling, and household hazardous waste drop-off collection.

• The Kitsap County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Facility closes December 24 for heavy facility maintenance and reopens January 5.
  

• The drop boxes at Bainbridge Island, Silverdale, Hansville, Poulsbo, and Olalla are closed Christmas and New Year’s Day. Additionally, all of the drop-boxes except the Vincent Road drop-box on Bainbridge Island close at 1 pm on December 24, and 2 pm on December 31. The Vincent Road drop-box closes at 4 pm both days.
  

• The Olympic View Transfer Station is closed Christmas and New Year's Day.
  

• Waste Management (Brem-Air) continues normal garbage and recycling curbside service Monday through Friday. Bainbridge Disposal will not provide service on Christmas or New Year’s Day, and the City of Poulsbo garbage pick-ups continue on their regular schedule throughout the holidays.
