Thanksgiving Closures for Garbage and Recycling
PORT ORCHARD, WA The Thanksgiving holiday will result
in several changes to recycling and garbage drop-off and curbside
schedules, and household hazardous waste drop-off as follows:
• The Kitsap County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility will be
closed Thanksgiving weekend (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) and will
reopen December 1.
• The drop-boxes at Bainbridge Island, Hansville, Poulsbo, Silverdale, and
Olalla will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
• The Olympic View Transfer Station will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
• Residential and commercial collections for garbage, recycling and yard
debris will not take place on Thanksgiving Day for Waste Management and
Bainbridge Disposal customers. Waste Management’s Thursday pick-ups will
take place on Friday, and Friday pick-ups will take place on Saturday. For
Bainbridge Disposal customers, Thursday pick-up will take place on Friday
and Friday pick-ups will be on their regular schedule.
• The City of Poulsbo pickups will continue on their regular schedule
throughout the holiday.
