South Kitsap Community Conversations with Wicks Lake, Glenwood residents December 9

(Port Orchard, WA) -  Following swiftly after the Olalla community meeting, County Commissioner Charlotte Garrido welcomes residents of the Wicks Lake and Glenwood communities to share their thoughts on how they envision their neighborhoods over the next 20 years. Starting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 9 at the Pilgrim Firs Conference Center, residents are encouraged to join their neighbors, Commissioner Garrido, and County staff to engage in a conversation about the future of this special region in South Kitsap.

“I welcome residents from the Wicks Lake and Glenwood communities to meet to explore ideas on what is important in their communities and how to build upon them,” said Commissioner Garrido. “County services are integrated in almost every facet of residents’ lives and the draft Kitsap County Comprehensive Plan is a blueprint to guide us forward. It is important for local government to listen to residents’ thoughts and ideas so we move forward and build stronger communities together.”

The Pilgrim Firs Conference Center is located at 3318 SW Lake Flora Road, Port Orchard. For more information, contact Angie Silva in the Kitsap County Commissioners’ Office at (360) 337-4683, asilva@co.kitsap.wa.us
