Commercial and residential new construction
change of value notices mailed
(Port Orchard, WA) -
Approximately 6,000 change-of-value notices will be arriving in the
mailboxes of commercial & residential new construction property owners after
September 19, 2015.
Sales trends have been analyzed through March 31, 2015 to make the state
required adjustments to property values for tax year 2016. With real estate
values improving over the previous year, these notices are being mailed to
inform property owners of their new value.
Property owners can also check their property values on the “Parcel Search”
feature of the Assessor’s website at www.kitsapgov.com/assr. Sales trends
for the county are also available in the “sales” tab on the left side of the

characteristics and have any questions answered. Property owners who receive
these notices will have until November 20, 2015 to appeal their value with
the County Board of Equalization. Information about property tax relief
