Youth needed to serve on Kitsap County youth commission

(Port Orchard) - The Kitsap County Commission on Children and Youth is accepting applications for new members, especially youth to fill vacancies for representatives from Bainbridge Island, North Kitsap and South Kitsap School Districts. The Commission, which meets monthly, advises and makes recommendations to the Kitsap County Board of Commissioners and residents about the conditions and needs of youth and children; and advocates for an environment, which fosters healthy, self-sufficient, responsible and productive children, youth and families. In addition to youth representatives, the Commission has representatives from business, health, law and justice, military, parks and recreation, education and social services.
