Shooting range operational permit review committee
meets July 24th
(Port
Orchard) - The committee formed to review a proposed ordinance
amending the County Code is meeting July 24th in the
Commissioner’s Chambers at the Administration Building in Port Orchard. The
proposed ordinance amends several parts of Kitsap County Code Chapter 10.24
(Weapons). The proposed amendments
includes a new section defining the purpose of the article, clearer
definition of terms, updated permit requirements for shooting ranges, a new
section specifying shooting range days and hours of operations and updated
information about the review committee.
The public is invited to attend to watch the review. At this time there is
no plan to take oral testimony at this meeting. Written testimony continues
to be accepted by mail or by email at
help@kitsap1.com
