Banner Forest Watch Group Open House set for October 15

(Port Orchard) - The Banner Forest Watch Group has worked to update the 2002 Banner Forest Management Plan since October 2010. An Open House will be held to present the draft 2012 Banner Forest Management Plan on October 15, from 6:00 to  8:00 p.m. at the County Administration Building Commissioner Chambers in Port Orchard. The plan is available online here for review. You can also review and comment on the plan at the Kitsap County Parks & Recreation webpage (http://www.kitsapgov.com/parks/). The plan will be recommended to the Board of County Commissioners for review and adoption during their regular business meeting later this year. “Banner Forest is a wonderful community resource.” said Commissioner Charlotte Garrido.
