Community Invited to Join Kitsap
Kids Playground Makeover
PORT
ORCHARD, WA—Community members are invited to join the Rotary Club of
Silverdale on Saturday, May 6, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to spruce up the
most innovative playground in Central Kitsap. Located south of the
Fairgrounds and Stampede intersection at 7777 Stampede, the Kitsap Kids
Playground was built in 2002 under the sponsorship of the Kitsap Kids
Foundation and the Rotary Club of Silverdale. Nearing its fourth year of
intensive use by CK kids, the playground is due for a maintenance makeover.
Community members are invited to join Rotary Club of Silverdale members in
working on these projects. Call Ellen Newberg, Project Coordinator, at
692-3981 for more information. Volunteers are asked to bring gloves, garden
tools such as trowels and rakes, wheelbarrows, shovels and paint brushes.
Refreshments will be provided by Rotary Club of Silverdale.
