Our youth and families are the common linkages connecting us together as the Kitsap Community. As the Director of the Juvenile Department it has been my goal to assemble a diverse, caring, and professional staff who are skilled in their craft as they work with families in their homes, schools, and community as officers of the court.

Whether it be in the courtroom, detention facility, or the community at large the staff are committed to the health and well being of the family unit. They are fully cognizant of their responsibilities in holding their youth accountable for community safety as well as responding to the treatment needs of the youth and family.

We are a department that functions with numerous other departments in and outside of our walls. We recognize the great need for community partnerships and inclusiveness and know that we are more effective in our work as we strengthen these relationships.

In so many ways, I am reminded of how fortunate I am to be the director of such a gifted staff and outstanding juvenile department. As you read further I believe you will recognize, as I have, that this is a great place to be.
