The Administrative Services Unit provides services to
facilitate and support the work of all the various units of the Juvenile
Department. The services are numerous and require special knowledge,
training and skill.
The responsibilities of this unit include receptionist
duties, data entry for offender and non-offender cases,
establishing/monitoring diversion agreements, computer support, and
statistical reports. Revenue and expenditure tasks include payment of
bills for services, purchasing, tracking restitution payments, payroll,
collection of court and detention fees, and court appearances for
financial hearings. Other duties performed are coordination and production
of offender court calendar, school notification, updating/maintaining all
offender and non-offender social files, arrest warrant tracking, and
recruiting and supervising CASA volunteers.
Management duties include grant management, budget and
personnel issues.
