ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS DIVISION

The Environmental Programs Division combines the Department's Environmental Review functions and the Natural Resources Division in the Department of Community Development.

The Division now collaborates on projects and shared issues related to environmental aspects of land use planning; ecosystem protection and has resulted in a better linking between science, planning and current projects that benefit both the environment and the people of Kitsap County.

Kitsap Regional Shoreline Restoration Project

This EPA Watershed Assistance grant includes a sediment-source analysis and restoration feasibility study, a demonstration bulkhead removal project on public land, a shoreline landowner restoration interest survey and voluntary bulkhead removal demonstration projects on private property(s).
